I’m so thankful for this season…

And just as thankful for the one we left behind.

Because every closed door, every painful lesson, and every controlling system we walked away from…

…Jesus has used it to lead us HERE.

Dream City Church is a gift.

And I will always be aggressive about protecting the purity and purpose of why we’re here.

We were not voted on. We were followed.

I’m a shepherd with a call…not a hireling with a job.

And this house reflects that.

Dream City Church is a PASTOR-LED church.

We don’t take direction from control freaks, committee kings, or backroom manipulators.

We’re not here to keep insecure people comfortable or let bored religious folks play church politics.

…if you’re looking for a place where the good ol’ boys still pull the strings…

Where big fish get their egos stroked in small ponds…

Where grown adults are obsessed with titles, power, and control…

Go there. Play games.

Build little kingdoms.

And spiritually rot with the rest of them. 🧟 (👈thats a zombie)

That garbage has no place here.

We are not that church.

We are Spirit-led.

Pastor-led.

Presence-driven.

And unapologetically focused on reaching people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. FULL STOP. 

We’re not trying to survive.

We’re taking ground.

We’re building something that hell can’t stop.

Because we are doing a GREAT WORK for the Lord and we can not come down…see Nehemiah 6:3 (ESV)

But we did NOT GET HERE ALONE…

To every person who showed up…

Whether we were gathering in our living room, worshiping in a funeral home chapel, or broadcasting from a makeshift online setup…

You stayed.

You believed.

You gave.

You prayed.

You saw the vision before we ever had a building or a lease.

You stood with us when all we had was a yes to God.😭

You didn’t complain. And when you heard it—you shut it down.

You didn’t draw lines or ultimatums…You just showed up with your gift. 

You covered my family with prayer as we walked through cancer.

You supported Cara and me with grace as we learned and led through some of the hardest moments of our lives.

You’ve reminded us: we’re not in this alone.

To our online FACEBOOK family…you’ve stood with us from a distance but felt closer than ever.

To the pastors, churches, and ministries who adopted us and believed in us when others didn’t…we will never forget your kindness.

We are not perfect… not even close.

But our hearts are on fire.

And this vision… we carry it with you in mind, every single day.

Thank you for trusting us.

Thank you for running with us.

And thank you for fighting for this dream alongside us.

….The best is yet to come…

Some actually mocked us when we said it. Dismissed it like a fantasy. They zLaughed when we believed it and even shouted ‘timber!’

But that didn’t stop it.

Because when God speaks it…

No man, no system, no setback can stop it.—See Acts 5:39 NIV(seriously go read it, i get chills eveytime! )

The best is STILL yet to come.
