I love my church

SUNDAY NIGHT REFLECTION
Howdy everyone! I just GOTTA say it…
Man… what a DAY at Dream City Church!!!!
Seriously…if Dream City church was a Valentine, I’d circle “YES” and check “ABSOLUTELY” …Ha!
What a Sunday. I am soooo dang excited …I keep thinking about everything God did in the room.
First can we talk about the ENERGY in that place this morning??
From the first note of worship you could feel it…
People leaning in…
Hands lifted…
Altars full…
Voices loud…
Faith rising.
There is NOTHING like being in a room where people are genuinely hungry for Jesus…
And let me just say this…
I LOVE MY CHURCH.
Not in a cute, pastor-on-a-poster kind of way either!!!!
I mean the real kind of L-O-V-E…the messy, beautiful, life-changing community that Jesus is building right in front of us.
(Cue valentine’s pun here🥰😂)
We had some incredible visitors today, and moments like that never get old to me.
Every seat matters because every seat represents a person Jesus loves.
Now here’s the part that made me laugh…
We had a new family join us this morning…and funny enough, they moved here from Crossett, Arkansas about 12 years ago!
What are the odds? God has a sense of humor sometimes.
Apparently you can move 500+ miles away and still end up with your pastor being connected to your hometown 😂
To that family…and every guest who walked through our doors today…hear me CLEARLY…
You are not a number to us.
You are not an interruption.
You are WHY we exist.
And if today was your first time… just know we already love you like Jesus….
I have to take a quick dad moment to share with you all…because today made my heart explode a little.
Hudson absolutely CRUSHED it on the drums this morning.
Not only did he step up…he led with confidence, kept the pocket, and served the house so well.
Watching him up there, I couldn’t help but think… he’s already a better drummer than I could have ever imagined being at his age.
But what makes me proud isn’t just the talent…it’s his willingness to serve Jesus and use his gifts for God’s house.
(he gets that from his mother!)
There is nothing cooler to me than watching the next generation rise up and take their place.
Love you, Hud. Proud is an understatement
Now let me shift gears because TOMORROW is a big day…OUR SUPERBOWL of sorts😅
We start our church-wide 21 Day Fast.
Dream City Church this is not about religious effort.
This is about spiritual hunger.
We are creating space for God to move.
Space for clarity.
Space for breakthrough.
Space for fresh fire.
Do not underestimate what God can do through a church that seeks Him together.
EXPECT answers.
EXPECT freedom.
EXPECT direction.
EXPECT Jesus to meet you personally.
Many of you who follow our journey here online have reached out for our 21 day fasting guide and journal… AND… you can find that on our Facebook page and also in the church app!
We are so excited you’re joining us!!!
…please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!!!
Today was SUPERBOWL SUNDAY…
But beyond the game, I hope some of you caught the Turning Point USA Halftime Show!!!! 6MILLION people watches the TPUSA halftime show….SIX MMMMILLION!
I can’t help buy think how this shows just how spiritually curious our culture really is.
And speaking of that…
Consider this your teaser…
Very soon we’re going to be sharing more about our TPUSA Faith Charter at DREAM CITY!!!!
Not as a political statement…
Not as culture noise…
But as a bold declaration of who we are, what we believe, and how we intend to stand with conviction AND love in a world that desperately needs truth.
Stay tuned.
It matters. It will be AWESOME !
And can I tell you what has me personally FIRED UP right now?
This new series. Made for more.
I honestly could barely contain it this morning.
I believe with everything in me that this series is going to help break chains off people who have quietly believed the lie…
“I’m not enough.”
Not spiritual enough.
Not strong enough.
Not healed enough.
Not worthy enough.
We went after that lie and replaced it with God’s truth.
Before I close out this Sunday Night Reflection…
…there’s something on my heart that I don’t ever want to assume goes without being said…
I am unbelievably THANKFUL for our Dream City volunteers.
Our life group leaders.
Our DC Kids team.
Nursery workers loving on babies so parents can lean into the presence of God.
Our parking lot team greeting people before they ever reach the front doors.
Our hospitality teams.
Our servants behind the scenes.
The ones setting up, tearing down, running slides, leading worship, solving problems no one ever sees.
You are not just filling a role…
You are making eternal impact.
Every smile, every handshake, every diaper changed, every chair moved, every prayer whispered …it all matters more than you know.
Because of you, people walk into an environment where they can experience Jesus.
And let me remind you of this tonight…
We are not just organizing services…
We are mobilizing a movement!!!
A move of God!
Together, through Jesus, we are helping change lives….and yes…changing THE WORLD one Sunday at a time.
So if you serve at Dream City Church, hear this clearly from me…
I see you.
I thank God for you.
And I absolutely love serving alongside you.
The church doesn’t happen because of one person on a platform…
It happens because a family locks arms with one mission…
Lift up Jesus so ALL people can find Him.
Thank you for showing up faithfully. Week after week.
The best weeks are not behind us, church…
They are right in front of us.
Dream City is not coasting.
We are not settling.
We are not playing church.
Jesus is building something powerful here..and you can FEEL the momentum.
So tonight… rest up.
Tomorrow we seek God together.
And if today showed us anything, it’s…
God is bringing the right people, at the right time, for such a time as this.
I’ll say it one more time in case you forgot…
I LOVE MY CHURCH.
Let’s go after everything God has for us. —PZ
