Has The Church Let You Down?

All of us, at one time or another, have placed our hope in something or someone who has let us down…

and there are some who if they could be honest—would say the church has let them down as well...

...to which I would agree A church can hurt and disappoint (after all - every church on the planet is full of imperfect people)...

I also believe THE church is the most powerful, life-giving, world-changing force on the planet.

Here’s the TRUTH….Local churches will disappoint us at times - but let me ask you a question…If you had a bad experience at a car dealership, would you give up on cars altogether? Would you never ride in, or drive a car again because of that one bad experience ?

Although painful, Church Hurt is no reason to disconnect from Jesus and His Church.

There is NOTHING that has the power and potential of the local church...

I believe the church is a place where…

the excluded become included…

the hurting find healing,

addictions are broken,

shame is turned into joy, the lonely are loved, 

the hopeless find hope, 

and Jesus gets the glory for it all.
